Two Tuesday Tackles

My Tackle-It-Tuesday for this week includes two tackles, one that I worked on this past week, and one that I now have to do today because of the one that I had been working on.

For the last week or so, I’ve been helping Big Daddy with a project. He’s been writing an e-book and he asked me to help him in the final stages to get it ready for public viewing. I had more editing power than I expect most editors have, :) and for the last week I’ve been refining and fine-tuning and aligning graphics and checking links and you name it. He wanted me to really focus on it over the weekend and so I did, working my tail end off to, as he put it, “make it look good.” I’m really quite flattered that he trusted me enough to handle it. :)

As a result (as I warned Big Daddy would happen and he gave me the go-ahead), I got behind on those two “evil” chores that pile up-so-quickly. You know the two. The diabolic dishes and the loathsome laundry. “Back, fiend, back I say!!” Yesterday and today I’ve been catching up. I’m almost there and I think that I’ll have be mostly caught up by the time I get to bed. Whatever is left, I can catch up on tomorrow and it’ll be all good.

It was a trade-off with risks, to be sure… risking losing control of the house - it happens so quickly!! But Big Daddy asks for my help so rarely and it was a higher priority and I was glad to do it. The risk was worth it.

By the way, I’m sure I’ll let y’all know more about Big Daddy’s e-book in a few days after he gets it up on his website. Oh, and he promises to finish fixing MY website as soon as he gets the book up and running so that I can sell the bracelets that I have made. Won’t THAT be exciting??

Tackle it Tuesday is brought to us by 5 Minutes for Mom.

Hope you have a great week and we will keep you all in prayer. Dishes and laundry are almost never ending when you have little ones. We are doing better this week than last and I am thankful for that. Maybe when the weather is nicer we can meet at the park or something for the kids to play. We have been so busy helping my husband’s parents since Christmas that I am so thankful they are doing better this week. God has really answered prayers! Congratulations on the e book and we will pray it does well.
