Bloggy Giveaways Carnival - Giveaway #1
This week, I’ll be giving away 2 (or maybe 3) different things. I’m going to start off small with a free sidebar button. I’m still a beginner, but I’m starting to get the hang of things, and I know there are some of you who might be interested in a free button that you don’t have to create yourself. =)
Early last year, for the Ultimate Blog Party, An Ordinary Mom won a new blog header from me. It’s not high-dollar, it’s some of my ‘early work’, but it came out pretty good. For more examples (some of them better than others), check out my Free Graphics page. And last but not least, there’s my banner/button design up as a finalist in this year’s Ultimate Blog Party design contest. Now, it’s true that Big Daddy helped me with that one, but I also learned a lot during that Photoshop “lesson.” And although I’m not sure I can achieve quite the same level on my own, I think I can come pretty close. And if I need his help, I know where Big Daddy lives. 
So… if you’re thinking about starting a regular weekly post and need a button for it, or if you already have one and want a new button, or if you just want some other kind of button for you sidebar, then here’s how to win one for free:
1.) Leave a comment here in this post telling me why you need a new button and what you’re going to do with it (Example: I need a new button for my weekly book review posts!) before this Friday at 11:59pm, CST. (No penalty for multiple comments if you come back to leave a question, etc. but only the first comment for each person will count as an entry.)
2.) Make sure you fill in the e-mail field when leaving a comment. It won’t be visible to my visitors and I won’t use it for anything else other than to contact you if you are the winner.
3.) Saturday, I will use a random number generator to choose a comment number and I’ll notify and post the names of the winner by 11:59pm CST Saturday.

We need a new banner or button because we have to keep an updated image. No princess wants an old crown right? Each one has to be bigger, better and of course more sparkly…so we’d love to have a more princessey button..with a little sparkle!

Oooh, I would love a button for my the weekly (or so) tips I will be giving to parents from the perspective of a teacher. For example, I posted some “Homework Hints”. I will also be doing some posts on working with teachers, how to help your kiddos become better readers, and hope to help your kiddos do their best on those wonderful state tests. : )
