On Top Of My Dryer - A Tuesday Tackle
All week (now that the kids are better) I’ve been tackling (catching up on what we got behind on.)
Tackling dishes (which I have been caught up on and stayed on top of for the last few days), tackling laundry (which I’ve been washing LOTS of and folding NONE of,) and tackling all the other “normal” housework, too. I’ve also been “tackling” the Bloggy Giveaways Carnival, but not too quickly - I’m only on #250!
Anywho…while I was in the kitchen today, staying on top of the dishes, I thought I’d tackle one of the hotspots on my list. After all, the normal housework never goes away. I could keep working on that forever and never get to the hotspots if I didn’t tackle them intentionally.
So here’s my special tackle for today. See here the top of my dryer:

The basket system works well,..it just tends to get overrun after a while. The top basket holds a few things I like to keep handy for washing clothes. The bottom basket is my “out basket.” My basket to tuck things into that need to be returned. You have to walk right by the dryer to get out the door so it works. The little basket on the left is my washcloth basket - that also works well. Everything just needed some decluttering.
See now my decluttered, cleaned off, and reorganized washer/dryer space:

I finally wised up and split up the stacking baskets and set them across the back of the dryer. Now I don’t have to reach around them to turn the dryer knob. Yay! My brain has a little problem with thinking outside the box sometimes. It was like my brain was automatically thinking: “They’re stacking baskets therefore they must stack.” Go figure. But slow as my brain might be it eventually comes around and has bright ideas. =)

Very nice! Makes the laundry just a little more fun to do, too, I’ll bet. ;o)
