Works For Me: Ronzoni Pasta

With our recent switch to healthier meals with healthier ingredients, I’ve been on the lookout for some better pasta (because, well, we eat quite a bit.)

I’ve tried a few, and there are several good ones.. but let me tell you why I like Ronzoni Healthy Harvest and Ronzoni SmartTaste the best:

  1. taste
  2. nutrition
  3. cost

Ronzoni Healthy Harvest is a whole grain pasta with 3X the fiber as regular pasta, is a good source of Omega-3’s and is low in fat. It does taste like wheat pasta, but it doesn’t taste like cardboard. In fact, I switched and no one complained!

Even better is the Smart Taste Pasta which looks and tastes like regular pasta but also has 3X the fiber, and enough calcium to count as a dairy serving. Now, that’s just plain cool.

I like to alternate between the two since one has the benefit of Omega 3’s and the other the benefit of calcium. My family likes both of them and I like the fact they they don’t cost as much as some of the other healthier pastas.

And I LOVE the fact that noone complains that they “don’t liiiiike iiiiit.” ;)

How coincidental is this? My husband just got diagnosed with high blood pressure so we’re completely changing our diets and I bought Ronzoni Healthy Harvest noodles to make tonight! I’m glad to read this :)

I love that pasta! We have tried so many different kinds of wheat pastas and this was the one I found that my family didn’t complain about.

I include it in pasta salads and no one ever knows the difference!

    Good post!

    :)
